Designtex announces the launch of the new Rinekwall PVC-free wallcovering collection, Desert. The Desert Collection was photographed in dry climates from Hawaii to California, highlighting earth tones and capturing a Zen-like tranquility that brings the calm of the desert to any interior space.

Patterns include cacti, flagstone and a water sculpture all evoking the desert landscape. The Barrel design, which pictures a cactus that can live over one hundred years, is exaggerated in size, tempting even the timid to reach out and touch it. Rinekwall has captured the mysterious splendor of one of the rarest cacti, the Silversword, which only grows at the top of a volcano in Hawaii.

Rounding out the collection is Flagstone, Flashflood and Dry Lake Bed. Flagstone with its simple design and natural warmth is a cost effective alternative to the real product, and looks great in the most unlikely places. A magnificent water sculpture is pictured in Flashflood; its depth and movement that will make a powerful design statement in any setting. Photographed on a very hot day in Death Valley California, Dry Lake Bed creates a powerful statement that permeates thru your senses.

Continuing their commitment to sustainable practices, the Desert collection is available on Designtex’s DNAwalls  [Designtex no-PVC alternative] substrate which steps away from PVC and shows that good design and extreme performance is achieved without phthalates while not creating dioxin, two human health hazards associated with the production and disposal of vinyl wall covering and upholstery.
