IIDA and Interior Design Magazine invite design firm leaders to the 2011 IIDA Principals’ Roundtable. The event, focused on design leadership, will be moderated by Mark Strauss, Publisher of Interior Design Magazine and Cheryl Durst, Hon. IIDA will host a town hall meeting, co-sponsored by GSA titled, “Overcoming Obstacles to Sustainable Government Interiors 9-10 a.m. Nov. 3. Katie Weeks of Eco Structure Magazine will lead the discussion on government agencies incorporating the “Zero Impact” ideal, challenges of sustainability in government projects and issues facing downsized spaces for the future.

IIDA and Contract Magazine are looking for submissions for the NeoCon East Booth Design Competition that recognizes originality of design, effective use of materials and excellent use of space, color, texture, lighting and graphics in booths. Winners will be featured online on Contract Magazine, IIDA, and the Merchandise Mart’s websites. The entry deadline is Oct. 27, 2011.
