BIFMA has become a USGBC Education Provider and announced that the two-hour BIFMA e3 Furniture Sustainability Standard and level Certification training course has been successfully reviewed and was approved by the USGBC for 2 GBCI CE Hours for LEED Professionals. The course can be found on the course catalog.

USGBC’s network of Education Providers equips professionals with advanced green building education needed to stay competitive in the marketplace. Education Providers are third-party organizations that offer the highest-quality education that has been peer-reviewed and approved by USGBC. Courses target professionals seeking to enrich their knowledge of green building theories, techniques and business trends. All approved courses offered by USGBC Education Providers are approved for credit toward LEED Professional Credentialing Maintenance. Approval by USGBC allows LEED Accredited Professionals (APs) an opportunity to secure credit for the course as it is offered in nine cities this spring

Approval of the course allows BIFMA to offer the credits for 2-hour training sessions scheduled in 9 cities this spring that will provide the architect, interior designer and furniture specifier with an understanding of how level™ certification works to make the identification of “green” products easier. The training sessions are being provided at no-charge but registration is limited and required for all sessions. Each session will provide a thorough review and understanding of this multi-attribute standard and the level™ certification program.
