Bohemian, a series of upholstery pieces designed by Patricia Urquiola for Moroso, is making its debut in the US this fall.

Bohemian Sofa
In this collection, Urquiola has taken an original approach to classic capitonné work, giving it a modern look through fluid, irregular forms, with softly pillowed surfaces that seem to melt over the rounded, smooth fiberglass shell frames. The soft covers, fixed with press-studs, are completely removable to emphasize the idea that they are like pieces of clothing, or shawls, casually thrown over the shoulders of the chairs. The seat can be layered with cushions in alternate technical textiles, such as faux fur and weaves inspired by Mongolian rugs, to create a global aesthetic that is a collage of cultures and traditions.

Bohemian Armchair
Like a fashion atelier, Moroso combines hand tailoring with technical novelty resulting in this new form that is both comfortable and progressive. Because of the intense research required for development, Bohemian, prototyped at Milan 2008, has been over a year and a half in the making. The Bohemian Collection consists of a chair, armchair, sofa, chaise longue, and ottoman.

I love that it looks like a tufted duvet. It has a casual yet chic and comfy look.
