Certification Corner: HOK Atlanta

August 24, 2009

HOK’s Atlanta office has announced that it has achieved LEED-CI Gold certification. The redesign of the 18,000-square- foot space on the 41st floor of One Ninety One Peachtree Tower in Atlanta was completed in 2008 and is designed to reflect the firm’s brand values: “We create, we inspire, we connect and we care.”

HOK Atlanta has also decided to offset 100% of its energy usage for the next two years by purchasing renewable energy credits. This will guarantee that the energy used is added to the power grid from a renewable energy facility.

Firm-wide, HOK generated $197.54 million, or 26% of total revenue, from sustainable projects in 2008.
