HOK Chief Financial Officer Bob Pratzel earned the CFO of the Year award from the St. Louis Business Journal in the Large Private Companies category. Presented June 4, the second-annual CFO of the Year awards program recognized financial professionals in the region for outstanding performance in their roles as corporate financial stewards.

Since joining HOK in 1986, Pratzel has built a financial team that supports the firm’s diverse geographic and market-based practices; facilitates strategic growth initiatives; and enables the firm to successfully navigate the economic fluctuations in global construction markets.

With the current economic slowdown, Pratzel and his Executive Committee colleagues have enacted fiscal and operational strategies to discipline the firm and ensure that HOK can continue to invest in its future without overextending itself.
